Opal Washington

(19 Year Survivor)

"Being diagnosed with breast cancer was truly an unexpected occurance in my life.

I kept the faith and my hand in God's hand.

I am thankful for God's care and to Him for allowing me to be a survivor of cancer. I give all praises and Glory to God."

Shirley Thomas

(7 Year Survivor)

"Through it all I have learned to trust and believe in Jesus and his word that He will bring you out.

When I was first diagnosed I was afraid but I knew I had to pray and talk to God."

Proverbs 3:5 - trust in the Lord with all thine hear; and lean not unto thine own understanding

Psalm 103:2-3 - Bless the Lord O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your sins and who heals all your diseases.

Nahum 1:7 the Lord is good a rufuge in time of trouble, He cares for those who trust in Him.

I prayed and read God's word and trusted in Him. With the prayers of my family, friends, church members and Pastor I made it through.

"TO GOD BE THE GLORY!"

"Although the struggle has been long and at times hard, God has sustained, healed and delivered me from cancer.

I praise him daily for His goodness and mercy."

Oretha Ellis

(5 Year Survivor)

A diagnosis of breast cancer can be devastating, life shattering and feel like a death sentence.

It's one that made me ask "why me Lord?".

As I came closer to God's healing and deliverance I realized that GOD IS! and with Him all things are possible:

Even becoming a survivor and being cancer free.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY"

Portia Riley

(Actively Fighting)

"This is the face of Stage II Breast Cancer"

"I thought I was immune because there was no history of breast cancer in my family, but I found out that was not true.

Instead of choosing to focus on dying, I chose to focus on Jesus and His great love for me.

Facing cancer has forced me to see that healing is my inheritance as a child of the King.

Jesus took on the burden of this cancer 2000 years ago and proclaimed that my healing is FINISHED.

It is through faith that I declare by His stripes I am healed, so there is nothing more for me to do but wait on my Lord for complete manifestation of my healing.

So until my change comes I will praise Him.

BLESS THE LORD...OH MY SOUL"
